Knowing how things go in Ranma 1/2, and how things are describe in the episode, it sounds like Akane is going to need Ranma to save her.
Well, maybe. Or maybe not. That would probably depend on which method she chose, no?
It also depends on what the writer(s) feels is a sensible course for progression.
Fun little thing, in the translation for the bust battle which I read in preparation for this episode, Akane says at one point "You save me, I save you" with something to the effect of "that's how it is with us, I guess."
