Nari doesn't seem to be very likeable. (Not that this is a bad thing, necessarily.) That mercenary attitude, and straight up abusing friendships simply because she knows she can. It could almost be her own fault when horrible and outlandish things start happening to her!
Nanako feels like she has a lot of potential. I'm sure you have a lot more heroes and villains planned, but I'd like to see more of her.
What I would say is that she probably started off with a pretty normal attitude for someone her age. Which does mean a bit on the shallow side, yes. But she’s been so thoroughly seduced by all the attention she gets that she’s lost any sense of perspective on her own behavior. That part, at least, is not really an uncommon scenario.
And yeah, Nanako is definitely the dark horse character in this introductory episode.
