Spike looked at the small stallion statue.
Why, he wondered, didn’t I read all the instructions before buying this thing.
Yesterday, he was on his way to hang out with Rarity, and caught her flirting with a big strong workhorse pony.
It occurred to the dragon that Rarity wanted a male who was big enough to take her in his arms, not small enough to ride around on her back. Maybe his teddybear like size was what kept him so firmly stuck in the friend zone.
The same day he just happened to come across this idol, which could make a creature more masculine. The change would even be retroactive.
There was just one problem. Spike found out, after paying five bits for the thing, that he would have to steal that masculinity from another. He couldn’t do that.
Spike walked outside, wistfully planning to throw the idol in the trash.
“Hey what’s that.”
Spike looked up to see Rainbow Dash, perched above him.
“This is nothing.”
“Nothing, then what’cha doing with it.”
“Oh, I’m just gonna throw it away.”
RD glided down to take a closer look, never quite reaching the ground.
“Looks like an okay, thing for a coffee table. Heck If you’re just throwing it away then I’ll take it.”
“Uh... I shouldn’t. See it’s, magic, but not in a good way.”
“Wow! You mean that things cursed.” Rainbow backed away for a sec, making a gust of wind hit Spike in the face. Then she dared to fly in closer.
“What, uh not really, or maybe, kinda.”
“Has it done anything bad.”
Spike tried to wipe dust from his eye. Suddenly the eyes of the statue opened. Raninbow dash was bathed in a strange light. She felt something drain from her body.
“Wow! There was nothing like this in the instructions.”
Spike heard a crack and a pop, as the dragon grew a foot in height. Powerful leathery reptilian wings broke free from the skin of his back.
At the same time Rainbow dashes wings lost there definition and muscle tone. She dropped to the ground as her wings were still effective but probably more on the level of fluttershy’s than her former super athletic self. Her waist trimmed as she became softer and curvier in ways that would probably only stand out if you were a male pony.
Her blue colour lightened to an off white.
For a moment Rainbow Dash seemed confused, even horrified with the changes, then something big happened. Her cutie mark changed.
As soon as she saw the new mark she seemed to understand. A calmness swept over her as an invisible artist styled her male, manicured her hooves, and even primped her eyelashes.
“RD,” Spike asked, “are you ok?”
Giggle Why of course I am Spikey.
