Behind the counter stood a wizened old man, who looked older than was possible. "Does your girl like jewelry?" he asked, immediately answering himself, "Of course she does, they all do!" followed by a cackle and a cough. "Well I have just the thing right here," and he pointed to a box full of rings. "There's a special on these babies, two for $18. Normally I charge 10 bucks apiece."
