As Jim walked down the hallway he took a quick glimpse at one of the images in the transponder's memory. It was Lynn wuth a red-haired woman; most likeley his contact. He put away the transponder and swiped the fake sucurity pass through a unit on the side of a dooor marked ' cafeteria '. There were a lot of dairy products and both the male and female workers were earing them, seemingly without event. His first thought was: "The milk doesn't cause BE? What's wrong with this place?" As he walked into line he noticed a rather tall, slender, raven-haired woman cut in a few spaces ahead of him. She knocked another woman's tray over- spilling a very large glass of milk all aboutthe floor. Jim decided to listen for what he thought would be an ensuing apology.
"You knocked my tray over!"
"And I have seniority, so I guess that's just too bad for you. Isn't it?" The black-hared woman stated with an icy edge to her voice.
"But I..." Was alll the smaller woman could say before she was silenced by a sadistic smile.
"Here's a napkin, why don't you just wipe that up? Here, I wasn't going to use this galss anyway, you can wring it out in here." She said, handing the junior technician a cloth napkin.
The younger woman took the items and did as she was told, ass everyone watched.
"Now drink it. Don't make me mad."
As all of the other thechnicians looked on: the jubior tech was paralized with fear; fighting bacu a tear she drank the milk.
"Good, now go to the back of the line."
The junior tech coverd her face and quickly ran out of the room.
Jim thought: "Unless I'm mistaken I'd have to say that woman is a little evil, more than a little evil like... entirely evil." He decided that he wasn't hungry after the spectacle, and quickly sat at a table; moments later he was violently dumped from fis chair. The slender woman from the line was standing over him.
" This is my table, you may sit at the table behind me, but I can and will use your shirt as a napkin."
Not wanting to get into any kind of trouble: Jim quicly got up off the floor and sat at the table behind the woman. A few moments later, on the other side of the eatery a blonde in a red dress came in alnog with two armed guards, one of whom was carrying what looked like a huge bulky laminating machine. The blonde spoke up.
"Ladies and gentlemen there's a spy in this room. This spy has a fake security pass and I've brought a machine that unlike the checkpoints around the building-can detect a fake pass-and therefore a spy!"
She then jerked a red-head up from a table near her " My contact! " Jim gasped. The guards searched her hair and clothing, but couldn't find a security pass.
"This woman doesn't have a pass at all Not the kind of absolutely condemning evidence that I'd hoped for, but as there's no more likely suspect- she'll have to do"
At this moment Jim noticed that he could easily take the selnder woman's pass from her bag on the floor, especially as she had devoted her entire sadistic attention to observing the arrest. Then again he could draw the dart gun that Lynn gave him and try that. He had to think quckly though, as his contact was about to be dragged away.
