Jim had always been a thoughtless person, and shipping his girlfriend's present to her, on the day of her birthday no less, was a classic example. Had he not been so thoughtless, it might have occurred to him that this was one of the reasons he was such a nerd and a social outcast.

When he arrived at the Federal Express office, he

1. *saw three girls working behind the counter, each quite top-heavy.
2. *dropped the package, spilling liquid all over the female clerk.
3. *thought better of his plan, and took the gift to her instead.
