Jim, rather startled from this turn of events, walks around to the side of the obelisk, "Well that's just great!" he thought. "One second your staring at a lovely onyx monument; the next second WHAMMO your girlfriend decides to vanish" "This bites" Jim touched his hand where the glow had appeared and was surprised to find it cold to the touch.
