"So, what do you ladies want to do next?" Sharon asked.
"Sharon," Jim piped up. "Can I talk to you for a second?" Sharon excused herself, walking the short distance over to Jim. "Look," he whispered to her. "I'm really enjoying this. Do you think I could do one of these two?"
Sharon grinned at him. "I don't see why not," she answered. "How about I get Tricia to come into the house with me? I'll change her in there, and you can have Cynthia all to yourself."
"Great idea," Jim grinned.
Sharon turned back to the girls. "Why don't we have a little something to eat?" she announced. "Hey, Trish, could you help me inside?"
"Sure," the girl smiled. "Do you need Cyndi's help, too?"
"No, I think we can have it. Jim, why don't you see if you can come up with something to keep Cynthia entertained while we're gone?"
Jim smiled wickedly. "I do my best," he told her.
Once inside, Sharon led Tricia to the kitchen. "There should be some sandwich meat in the fridge," she said, pointing in that direction. "I'll get us some glasses."
Opening the cabinet, Sharon got down two glasses and carried them to the counter. She set them down, just as Tricia came over with the luncheon meats. As the girl set them down, Sharon absent-mindedly ran her finger around the lips of one of the glasses. She felt the by-now familiar tingle as she absorbed its properties.
"Hey!" Tricia said. "Won't we need more glasses?"
Sharon casually reached out and touched her friend's arm. "Oh, we'll have enough," she told her. "Freeze."
Sharon grinned as the questioning expression became fixed on Tricia's face. With a tinkering sound, not unlike the sound ice makes in a glass of water, Tricia's body took on the look and texture of carved glass. Only her clothes escaped the startling transformation. Looking her over, Sharon realized that her position would make it hard to remove her clothes. "Oh, well," she said to herself. "Jim can always take care of that later."
She quickly mixed two drinks. Giving Tricia a last peck of the cheek, she went back outside. As she went through the door, she stopped in her tracks, amazed at what she saw.
