"Fine, then!" Jim asked with a disgruntled tone. "What do you want me to do?"
Sharon looked at him, a touch of anger still in her eyes. "I don't know, Jim," she told him. "But this was supposed to be my fun. And now, you've screwed it up."
"Hey, look," he said, "I'm sorry. It's just that when I saw how much fun you were having, I wanted to join in. You know what?"
"What?" she repeated.
"I wish that I could make statues, too." Jim grinned at her, because with that wish he could.
"Oh, shit," Sharon said, backing away. She could tell from the look in his eye that Jim was up to no good. She turned to run, but as she reached the center of the yard, she found herself frozen in mid-stride. She remained balanced on one foot, her arms out from her body.
Jim approached his frozen girlfriend, and looked her over carefully. "Now, what are we going to do with you?" he asked. "You know, in that position, you look like..." He smiled as the idea formed. "Why not? But first, we need to get rid of those clothes."
With a wish, Jim stripped her. Next, he caused a large round marble basin to appear. Sharon was lifted up on a pedestal in the center. Another wish, and the basin filled with water. From her frozen position, Sharon could see everything that was happening, and knew what Jim had in mind. She had to admit the idea excited her more than a little.
Jim stepped to where she could see him. "Now, sweetheart," he said, pointing at her, "it's time for you to freeze." As he spoke, a soft, crackling sound came from the pedestal at Sharon's feet. He watched as the marble there captured his girlfriend, spreading up her leg and rapidly enveloping her body. Soon, a marble sculpture stood atop the lone pedestal. "And now," he smiled, "for the final touch."
With a snap of his fingers, water began to shoot from his petrified girlfriend's lips. It cascaded down into the water-filled basin, which Jim wished to be full of gold fish. Jim stood back to admire his handiwork. He had to admit that Sharon made a great fountain.
