Sharon's Impromptu Lie-Detector Test

What Jim had said had aroused Sharon's suspicions, so whilst she waited for him to come over she rang Rick. When he answered, she said: "Hello, Rick. This is Sharon." Then she listened carefully for any sound of nervousness or guilt in his voice as he replied.

1. "H-h-hello, Sharon," he said. "I -uh- didn't expect to hear from you." Guilty as hell, Sharon decided.
2. "Hello, Sharon," he said. "What can I do for you?" He sounded innocent enough, but Sharon knew that wasn't conclusive.
3. "Hello, Sharon," he said. "You figured out it was me who transformed you, then?" He didn't sound the slightest bit worried.
