Lana, being a girl gamer, had excellent reflexes. In fact, they were much faster than those of the aged harridan Miserelda.
In a split second, Lana had grabbed the witch's wand!
Miserelda looked on in stunned horror, barely able to comprehend what had happened.
"Give...give that back, dearie!" she demanded angrily. "Give it back right now."
"I don't think so, you old hag!" Lana replied, pointing the wand at its owner.
Miserelda suddenly smiled slyly. "You don't know how to use it, you little slut!" she cackled. "It's useless to you." She began to advance on Lana.
Lana realized the witch was right. She quickly shifted her hands, holding each end of the thin rod in one fist.
Miserelda hesitated.
"One more step," Lana told her, "and it's snapped."

Meanwhile....
Gerald was driving back to Oregon State at a high rate of speed, Jim and Rick in the backseat. For some reason he floored the accelerator; something was telling him he needed to get back to the university post-haste. He had a sneaking suspicion that Lana was in trouble.

Meanwhile...unbeknownst to Gerald, Jean was watching all this, in the form of the words Go back at the end of the BE Addventure episode Jim and Rick were reading on the laptop in the back seat.
"This episode is called 'Things Come To A Head'", Jim told Gerald. "It just appeared in the Recent Episodes list, and it's about us!"
"There are thousands of episodes about you two morons," Gerald said, trying to push his car to even greater speeds.
"No, I mean it's about us today! Stuff that just happened a half hour ago, when you met us."
"What?" Gerald asked. "If that's true, what's going on with Lana?"
Jim and Rick read the episode, their eyes beginning to bulge.
"I don't think you want to know!"
