Akane considered the question. She considered the ramifications of the answers she could give.
To admit to it would give her another confidant, a person she could trust and ask to see if she was going too far. Unlike Nabiki, she has always trusted Kasumi and her opinion. Granted, she didn’t always listen to it, but her words would weigh heavily on her mind.
But that is to assume Kasumi would be supportive of her and accepting of her little sister being able to play with the fabric of reality.
If . . . If Kasumi didn’t agree, if she thought it was too much power for one person, what then? Live in view of her sister’s disapproval? Ch-Change Kasumi o make her supportive?
No. Not that. She couldn’t change Kasumi like that. Because if she did, she would be just as bad as Kasumi would fear her to be.
------
Avatar Mother watched the debate in Akane’s head rage on. Akane continued plowing over the choices, fears, dreams, hopes, and failures that could come from her next few words.
Unlike before when she could try to sway Akane to be more accepting, becoming more perverted and in love with her power, the Avatar backed off. The repeated fear of changing Kasumi and what that would really make Akane into flashed before her many times. She knew if she pushed Akane in one direction or another, and the results were unpleasant, she would lose what gains she had.
Now was a time of mortal choices.
-----------
“Kasumi . . . . I . . . did change you,” Akane breathed out.
“Akane, how could you?” Kasumi asked. “Did you gain some technology from Ranma’s mother?”
“No. Before even that,” Akane said. “A few days ago . . . do you remember the explosion in the backyard?”
“Yes. The pond was emptied because of one of Ranma’s techniques,” Kasumi said.
“Partially right,” Akane said before she spoke of the laptop, her throwing it into the water, and the transfer of power into Akane herself. “And now I can use my magic to change people or facts themselves. I’ve been using it to try and make our lives a little bit better since.”
When it was all said and done, Kasumi whispered, “Oh my.” She took a deep breath as she considered the power in the sister before her. If she wasn’t lying . . . . Oh my.

Nabiki dressed in a long skirt that hid her inherited phallic organ. Alex wore one as well as they walked off the Tendo lot. Alex carried a purse on her body.
“Okay, the beam up should be any second,” Nabiki said as she took Alex’s hand. Alex nodded and felt the familiar tingle that preceded a beam up.
When they materialized, Alex gasped and pulled Nabiki behind her. Around them were strong looking men with guns pointed at them and a woman scantily clothed sat on a throne.
“Ah, the beloved ch1ld returns home,” the woman said with a smile.
“What the hell?” Nabiki said. “Who-”
“Nabiki, meet my parent, the Lord Groquorm,” Alex said. “It seems they hacked your phone call.”
“Quite correct,” the Lord said as she walked closer, but not inside the range of the guard. “It was relatively easy. Getting past Nodoka’s defense, however, needed more creativity.” She smiled at Nabiki.
“I should have asked for something only she would have known, I’m sorry Alex,” Nabiki said.
“Don’t be sad,” Alex said. “This one has been good at setting up traps for others in the past.”
“Oh, don’t disassociate yourself like that, my ch1ld. You helped plenty of times too,” the Lord said. She glanced at the skirts and the reflective metal beneath them. “Is that what I think it is?”
“Shouldn’t you know from your fly?” Nabiki asked.
“That machine has a range of only a few miles. We are too far to do it without others noticing,” Alex explained.
“When they last made report, they did mention a strange addition to your human body. My doctors are very interested in learning examaning you. Both of you,” the Lord said. Nabiki glared.
“Yeah, like I’d help my kidnappers,” Nabiki said.
“Nodoka’s not too different. She did take your mother from you and assaulted three young humans for nothing more than covering her own mistake,” the Lord said. “What I’m offering you is a chance few humans will get, even with the upcoming changes.”
“You have every reason to lie,” Alex said. “And I don’t plan on listening any more.” She slipped her hand into the purse and gripped the kitchen knife she had concealed in it.
