Jim and Sophia had a very enjoyable meal. Not having been part of the same social circle, each had a lot to learn about the other's life, so they talked a lot.

They were about halfway through the meal when Jim, who was sitting facing the door, saw someone enter the restaurant whose appearance gave him a nasty shock.

1. It was Becky Talluto! It had to be the original, of course, and not the one that Rick had dreamed into existence, but it brought back Jim's horrid memory of being forced to 'erase' the insane dream version. With her was a young man whom Jim did not recognise, presumably her boyfriend or husband.
2. It was Sharon! The original Sharon rather than the dream version. What was she doing back in town? The last he had heard she was in New York. [715067]
3. *It was Robin! The original one. Hadn't Sophia said that she was managing an office on the east coast? [715067] But here she was. She wouldn't recognise Sophia, but no doubt she would recognise Jim if she spotted him.
