Lance looked at the two cops in caution, his hand holding the tranq gun. "You didn't see any lights while he's been here have you?"

"No...", one cop said in a slightly weirded out tone. "Why?"

"That's the thing his victims usually claim to see before they were hypnotized.", he answered.

The other cop scratched his head and looked at Lance apologetically. "Sorry about what we said to you before. Honestly, I kind of believed you about this guy when you first started hunting him. But then the chief told us how it was all a hoax and well... It was hard to argue with her."

Lance nodded and turned his attention back to the Hypnotist (but still ready for anything the others might do.) "Alright, Creep", he warned. "Tell me how to snap Sharon out of her trance."

"Now why would I do that?", asked the masked criminal. "The very reason I came here was to take her away as my slave so that she couldn't tell anyone what she knew about me."

"A little late for that", said Lance. "She already told me how you came to her house and had her dress in a shirt that told people she was hypnotized and that they should treat her like a 'toy.'" Lance reached for something in his pocket with the hand that wasn't holding a gun. "Now tell me how to unhypnotize her."

The Hypnotist chuckled and finally said, "You can't. The only way that'll ever happen is if I say, 'I release you from your trance' to her. Heck, I can even make her forget the whole experience."

Lance removed his hand from his pocket then stood up and looked at the other two cops. He couldn't help but smirk because they were now standing on the other side of the bed, trying not to look at the Hypnotist.

"Um...", said one of them. "You wouldn't happen to have any extra sunglasses, would you?"

Lance brought the Hypnotist out into the living room and gave the other two cops a couple fo extras he had in a drawer. "Until you find out how he's been hypnotizing people", warned Lance, "I suggest you don't take those off around him."

The other cops nodded as they put the shades on and proceeded to cuff Kitty and Kiki. "I'm guessing he hypnotized these two into being his slaves?", asked one.

"Yeah", answered Lance. "But there are others." He then looked the Hypnotist right in the eye before adding, "And we will find them and deprogram them."

"Good luck", said the Hypnotist. "I don't think my incarceration will last very long."

"We'll see about that", said Lance. He turned to the other cops and added, "Get him out of here."

The two cops pushed the Hypnotist outside and Lance helped to carry his unconscious slaves out with him. After they left, Lance went back inside and headed deep into his hallway before opening the attic and climbing up.

He found Sharon and Cindy just as he had left them. Cindy was sound asleep in her sleeping bag and hugging some stuffed animals while Sharon lied own next to her. The hypnotized woman's eyes were still open and would blink. Lance couldn't help but stare at Sharon in her nice looking night gown. A faux fur bathrobe was even lying on a nearby box near the two.

Sharon's gown: Bathrobe (except it's pastel blue):

quietly sneaked up behind Sharon and pulled a small voice recorder out of his pocket.

Let's hope this works, he thought while holding the recorder close behind Sharon's head. He then pressed play and the Hypotist's voice came out of the speaker.

"I release you from your trance.", it said.

And then...

  1. *It works! Sharon finally awakens from her trance and the new girly-girl persona is permanent. The only difference now is that she's able to make other expressions and her own choices instead of having to be ordered by Cindy.
  2. *It doesn't work... Sharon is stuck in her trance.
  3. Same as 1, but there is an unintended side-effect on Sharon's psyche. (Uh-oh)
  4. Something else.
