Robert Briggs looked through the self declared spellbook with some confusion. As an Engineering Major, he considered himself a man of science who was too evolved to believe in something as silly as magic. But the longer he idly flipped through this old book written in latin with notes carefully scribbled in the margins, the more he found himself thinking that this book at least did a good job of pretending to be real.
Though Robert didn’t know it, since his family wasn’t big into genealogy, he too had a magical ancestor, his Great-Great-Great-Grandmother Selena Grimm, one of Abagail Blackwood’s arch rivals. While Terri was ignorant of her magical background, she was still close enough to it genetically to see through the transformations Suzi had unleashed on their campus, unlike Robert who thought everything was normal.
But little did he know that despite his ignorance, he too had the power to cast spells. The only question was, would that finally allow him to see the truth like Terri or would he be forever ignorant of his own power?
Well, whatever the answer, the young man began to idly read a spell from the book, not knowing that he was about to cast his first spell. The only question was, what was it?
