Nightwing made it appear like he was going to enter the bathroom. Instead he stealthy walked into Madame Wonder's office. He began to take a look around the office space, searching for anything of high value. He sifted through the office finding nothing but old playboys and cigarette butts. He was getting frustrated until he found something that interested him. A ledger with the words Wonder Woman written on it. Dick was about to go for it, but hesitated, believing it to be too easy.
It was. Before he knew it a golden rope snared the young hero. He winced, knowing full well what the rope meant. "Diana?"
"Hello, Richard, its so very nice to see you. How are you?" Madame Wonder came out of her hiding place, holding the golden lasso tightly around Nightwing's body.
"How are you still alive? Why have you become the Kingpin of LA?" He attempted to get answers.
"I'm sorry, Richard, I have no idea what your talking about. You found nothing of value here, nothing that indicates Deborah Walker in any crimes or illegal activities. You will return to your friends distrust and discouraged. Have a good day." Diana released him. Nightwing shook his head, frowned, and left out the back window. Madame Wonder sighed, it really was too easy.

Suzie returned to Amy Walker with the wire intact. Amy played the recordings and pounded her fist in frustration, "Nothing, this bitch is good."
"She's one of the best. She was a damn super hero before she started this Madame Wonder business. Frankly I'm not surprised, given the circumstances. What else are you supposed to do when the whole world thinks your dead?" Suzie pondered as she filed her nails.
"You know, blondie, your not exactly helping your case."
"Please, I'm dead within a week. I fucked with this bitch hard core and there is no way she forgot that. You might as well have put a target on the back of my head. No one can beat her, out side of the Justice League, and one of their own controlling the underworld of this city is not even close to being on their radar."
"Damn, this would be a different story if we were in Gotham." Amy complained.
"Please, sweetheart, you wouldn't last a week in Gotham." Suzie told her while still filing her nails.
"I worked Compton back when it was a real hood, I can handle my own."
"Right. Just pray Madame Wonder doesn't figure out your the cop trying to take her down. Else you'll be in my boat."
"Your awful calm for a chick who thinks she's running out of time."
"Eh, I figured my past would eventually kept up with me. Didn't figure it would be like this, but it comes with the territory."
"Got anything useful to tell me? See anything in her office?" Captain Walker attempted to get something out of her deal with Suzie.
"Nope, the place was dark, the bitch was smoking so I couldn't smell anything either. She said nothing incriminating and she's still married to this Deborah Walker story. She's like a politician denying climate change, there's no shaking her."
"Not until we bring in hard evidence."
"Sorry, sister, but on paper the only thing risky about her is the year she wasted as a common street whore. And that one is on me."
"Well I guess you can go home, Miss Dean. We'll try something else tomorrow. Don't leave town."
"Oh, dear sweet Captain Walker, you talk to me like I got a choice. I'm trying to live till the end of the week. That's when you promised Witness Protection would set me up in some beach town far away from that crazy bitch. Hopefully a bus doesn't fall on top of me until then." Suzie walked out of the police station, ankle bracelet tracking her every movement. Captain Walker simply shook her head in frustration, trying to think of a different way to crack the iron shell around Madame Wonder's empire. Within a month Madame Wonder took control of the drugs, guns, and prostitution game within Los Angles. Every criminal worked for her, whether they knew it or not. All others have been arrested or mysteriously disappeared. Kind of like Psycho only without live broadcast. That's when Captain Walker finally had a bright idea.

Meanwhile Diana waited in her office for Courtney to show up. She sat down in front of her boss and waited for the good word.
"A month. We had a month with no problems. We got Annie deep under ground. We took control of the turf wars. We got the city under our control: politicians, lawyers, thugs, hoods, business fat cats, even a few cops all in our pockets. Hell I own this city's super hero. A month and now I got super heroes and honest cops breathing down my neck like I'm some kind of criminal." Diana complained.
"No offense, Di, but you technically are a criminal. Just not on paper." Courtney De Soto, the former Zatanna, took a drag from her cigarette.
Diana smiled at Courtney, "Details, details, baby. At least we threw the supers for a loop, sending them false signals. But what pisses me off is the cops are trying to use that bitch Suzie to get under my skin."
Courtney perked up, "Suzie? That bitch who ran New U Salon?"
"Yeah, that one. She came walking in here like she was expecting something. But I kept my cool and the cops walked away with nothing on me."
"You know that's never going to end. Not until you crack."
"I know, I know. But I can't decide between revenge or making a deal. If I get revenge on the bitch I put a lot of heat on us and we got plenty after what Annie did to Psycho. But I don't trust that bitch enough to try and strike a deal, she'd double cross me for sure."
"What you need to do is think smart. Punching isn't going to solve your problem. Buying them off is too risky. You got to manipulate them into doing what you want. But while we're talking about problems, we got a major one."
"Sigh, what now? Something to send Bette to take care of?"
"No, its just, I've sensing a powerful magical force within Los Angles. Some one is here and they want their presence to be known."
"Hmm, make the necessary preparations, consult the proper books. And Courtney, stay away from demons this time. If you want to use dark magic consult a succubus. At least they're predictable."
Courtney smiled naughtily, "Aw, you think I'm going to summon demons from the neither realm to almost destory us. Your cute when your paranoid." Courtney left to do Madame Wonder's bidding, leaving Madame Wonder to think over what had happened to dear sweet Flamebird and poor, unfortunate Annie Day over last months events since the battle with Deathstroke...
