It looks like they're capable of writing quality episodes, even if there aren't that many to date. That's more than we can say about some people here, even a certain very prolific individual.
So at least if this author does intend to write something in this vein, it's likely to be worth reading.
No need to be disappointed! Usually these "option" episodes don't get added to. Just move on with your life or add your own episode. I generally ignore these as there are hundreds or thousands of these created each year.
I think I've seen about a hundread naruto option episodes when that was popular about 3 or 4 years ago. There has been a fairly long running naruto wishing rock and an MPC thread though.
