With the blonde ace gone, the other team suddenly looked a lot more confident. Despite being twice as large as their opponents, they were all smiles as they took to the field once more. It soon became quickly apparent that the tide had turned. Three minutes later, they'd scored a goal, and were high-hiving each other while their opponents struggled to adjust to their swelling bellies.
The other team never stood a chance. Demoralized by their ace leaving and the sudden reversal of fortune, their teamwork was sloppy and their defense weak. They were outplayed with almost insulting ease, their rivals casually kicking the ball just out of their grasp before kicking it past their lumbering goalkeeper, who seemed almost on the verge of tears.
Fifteen minutes and five goals later, the game had become a farce. The two or three girls from the first team who were still mobile were straining as hard as they could simply to remain upright. The rest of them, goalkeeper included, had given up entirely, lying on the ground and cradling their expanding bellies as they moaned and swelled with every goal. Their opponents weren't even bothering to show their contempt now - they dribbled the ball in rings around their immobilized rivals and bounced the ball off their massive bellies as they passed it back and forth, before punting it around the immobile goalkeeper, walking into the goal and retrieving the ball, then beginning the process once more.
Jim looked for the teacher, but it seemed she'd gone off somewhere. The blonde ace had left the bench as well. What was going to happen next?
