“It’s not safe being in an invisible car!!” Monique cried as again their car was nearly hit by a car - this time an SUV - from a cross street because it hadn’t seen anything. A woman must have been driving; because the male ones couldn’t react fast enough, as they had been too stunned by two sitting, naked girls whizzing over the concrete. Wonder Woman’s invisible plane came to mind.
“Monique! Stop clutching onto me! You’re crowding my steering arm!” Kim told her (at the moment) annoying best friend.
“I can’t help it! I’m scared!”
“Monique,” Kim said as calmly as she could under the death-defying circumstance. “What does it look like for two naked girls to be tightly embracing like this?”
“You’re worried about something like that, now, GIRL!? Keep your mind on the road!!”
“It’s no use! It’s too dangerous to try to make it home. Another block and we can go to my mom’s hospital!”
“OK! Follow that ambulance - This is an emergency!”
When they got there, Monique couldn’t find the door handle, so Kim pulled her out the driver’s side. “Look, there’s an empty gurney! Hop on, Monique!” More than a suggestion, or order, it was an action, as the heroine propelled and practically threw the girl onto the cot with wheels. All while EMTs stared at two very healthy teenage bodies.
Well, all except one. This one was female. “Hey!! The patient is having another heart attack!!”
Kim had already gotten the gurney moving when she thought to steal medical gloves from the most entranced tech. Monique didn’t understand and wasn’t happy to be rolling maybe out of control. “KIM!”
“You need to check in!” the ER receptionist told the naked black girl as she rushed by on wheels.
“I’ll take those!” another naked girl, white, grabbed the forms as she ran by. Being an experienced martial arts cheerleader, Kim was able to have one rubber glove on as she got hold of the gurney. As she slowed it down, Monique reached out to grab a blanket from a laundry cart. She pulled over her face and head, then thought about the rest of her body.
“At last! Something to cover me!”
“But for how long?” Kim said. But she, too, was feeling very naked, exposed, vulnerable, and everything else that made what she was not “nude”.
