Jim and Rikki rushed towards each other. Jim hugged Rikki tight, not caring that they were naked. It was just good to see a friendly face.
"I've been so worried," Jim said once they had disentangled themselves. "They wouldn't let me see the rest of you. And then they experimmented on me."
"Yes, I heard about what happened," Rikki said. "I feel a little responsible for that."
"You've no need to feel guilty. But it is a little disconcerting knowing that I could flip from male to female again at any time."
"I can imagine. Robin - I don't know if you realise that she runs this place? - wants me to help them find out what's causing it. Admittedly that's more for their benefit than for yours, but hopefully we can get you stabilised as male again. And then they'll let us leave." Well four of us at least, and assuming that Robin is to be believed, which I'm far from sure off, she thought. She had decided that it might be wiser not to tell Jim about other-Sharon's bad situation in front of Robin. Jim's reaction might be extreme and could jeopardise their chance of extricating themselves - hopefully including other-Sharon -from this mess.
"That would be great. Heck, I'd even settle for being stabilised as female. It would be better than all this flipping from one to the other. So how are the others?"
"I haven't seen them, but I believe that they're all OK." Apart from other-Sharon.
