Jim reached out for the necklace with the angel medallion and said, "I'll take it." But what came out of his mouth was, "Gs, oo par." Jim froze. What the hell did he just say? The old man though didn't even blink but took the necklace from Jim's hand and placed it within a decorative gift box and then started to punch in the sale on his old fashioned cash register.
Jim shook the confusion from his mind. He must have been mistaken.
"Would you like a card with that, Mr.Harrison? Or perhaps a gift note? We have a wide selection of them, each pre-printed with the name of your loved one for your convenience." He reached down below the counter and came up with a small gift note with the name 'Sharon' embossed across it in small, gold lettering. Jim nodded. "Then that'll be a total of $208.95," the old man smiled. Jim paid him, grabbed the gift bag and left the store.
