Samus had no idea what this strange wheel was or why Ridley was so intent on it, but like hell she was going to let him enact whatever it was for. Before he could get his clawed grip on it, she sent a quick barrage of energy shots his way, forcing him to pull away. She closed in, attempting to get a better read of his intentions, and the wheel’s purpose, when Ridley retorted with an angry blast of his fire breath that she jumped to avoid.
Ridley seemed desperate for the wheel. It was a farcical idea that such a powerful and malicious creature should be so invested in something with the appearance of a carnival game, but when it came to her archenemy, Samus never played games. She could only sense that, whatever his intent, she had to stop him.
As Ridley again set a clawed hand on the wheel, Samus charged in, ducked, and slid, getting her left, non-canon hand on the wheels bottom edge as well. She wasn’t especially concerned with spinning it herself. She just wanted a good angle from which to make Ridley choke down a missile.
One way or another, the wheel began to spin.
