Honey.
That was a word that was echoing a lot through Ranma’s head at the moment, mostly at the idea of being able to taste some honey in a new and novel way. The fact that Ryoga was charging at her with a serious death threat was actually pretty far down in her thoughts.
Though he seemed a bit faster then last time they had met. When had that been... ? Just around the wedding that ended up not happening? “What’s up?” Ranma asked, jumping over Ryoga’s umbrella thrust. Wow it’d been a while since she’d seen him use that.
“What’s up!? Is that all you have to say, Ranma Saotome, after all you’ve done!” Ryoga said, throwing out another swipe.
“Did I steal your dessert this time or something?” Ranma asked, and then her mind flashed back to honey. Oh man, she needed to get this done and over with so Akane could serve that dish. “Maybe Konatsu can take you to the kitch-” Wooops that hit actually knocked down a wall, wow Ryoga was extra pissed today.
“If you think that after all the things you’ve done.” Ryoga said, “All the lies you’ve told. That I will ever-” Before even Ranma could react Akane had appeared and kicked Ryoga into the rubble he had knocked down.
“You’re the last one to talk about lies, P-chan!” Akane snarled, and looked both terrifying and the hottest Ranma had ever seen her.
Ranma’s head snapped back to Akane. “You... “ Oh crap, that didn’t sound good.
Akane’s hand draped across her forehead, “Oh Ranma, I remember the day you told me. How this pig had used your honor against you! He used the promise between men you made to make you hide his curse from me, and now he dares call you a liar!”
“Wait wait.” Ranma said. “Hey Ryoga did I make any promises involving P-chan?” Ranma asked.
“No!” Ryoga said.
“Yeah thought so. Hey Ryoga, I’m kind of busy right now. Want to get some honey from Akane, could we do this later?” Ranma said.
“Oh I really wish you hadn’t heard that, it would have been a great surprise.” Akane said, sounding disappointed. “And Ryoga just had to ruin it.”
“It’s not ruined, I have a real sweet tooth! You know that!” Ranma said, waving her arms to catch Akane’s attention.
“Stop ignoring me you monster!” Ryoga shouted, diving down to make a crater in the ground where Ranma had been standing a minute ago.
“Ugg the repairs are going to be a serious drain on our budget.” Ukyo grumbled.
“Just go pillage Canada again.” Kodachi said.
“No can keep pillaging Canada, unsustainable. We get money from Australia this time.” Shampoo said.
“Fine so when should we do that?” Ukyo said. “Once Ranchan’s done with this?”
“I think our dear is going to want their dessert first.” Kodachi said.
Meanwhile, Ranma had been in one of the most intense brawls Ryoga had ever given him. “Seriously could you give me a hint why you’re so pissed at me P-chan?”
”You took over the entire world!” Ryoga screamed, using the Breaking Point to send sharpnel at Ranma’s eyes.
“...did this make the world any worse?” Ranma asked.
“Did you not hear your girlfriends talking about pillaging Canada!?” Ryoga said.
“To be fair, it mostly involves asking them for money and then if they don’t say yes finding the nearest billionaire.” Akane said.
“Like yeah I’m not seeing anything super bad Ryoga. What did I do that was so awful?”
Ryoga’s eye twitched. “Did you forget what you people did to Iceland!”
“They started it!” Akane shouted, “Now, Ryoga, go home! I bet Akari misses you!”
“Hah! I see her every Sunday, so don’t think appealing to my heart will stop me from freeing you from whatever evil possesses you!” Ryoga said.
“With your sense of direction?”Ranma asked.
Ryoga stepped forward, “No matter! I shall not let this evil stand any longer!”
Akane sighed, “Ryoga, could you move to the left a little?”
“Huh? Well OK Akane…” Ryoga stepped to the right.
“Other left.”
Forward.
“Move up into the air..”
Ryoga moved where Akane had first asked him to. “Right then, I will not allow this evil to stand! I'll defeat Ranma, and of his generals that stand in my way and free the woooollllrrrrrdddd….” A trap door opened under Ryoga, and he fell. After a short moment, there was a distant splash and a loud Oink.
“You know normally hero types go straight to the trap door.” Kodachi observed.
“Heroes usually go through regular door.” Shampoo said.
“Right then, further business?” Akane said.
“...honey?” Ranma said hopefully.
"Yes dearest?" the girls all answered in unison. Wow the adoration in their eyes was both cute and mildly scary.
“Err, I meant the food.” Ranma said.
“That’s for later.” Akane said, “Since there doesn’t seem to be any major business, let’s call Australia and get money for repairs. Then I guess we have the day free!”
“What about Ryoga?” Ranma asked.
“Oh he’ll be fine.Not like this hasn’t happened before.” Ukyo said. “He’ll just bust out, tend to his injured pride and come back in couple months.”
“Right, down to town!” Kodachi laughed, “Ah how the peasants will cheer our appearances!”
“Shampoo hope there be fun sparring partner.”
Akane grabbed Ranma’s arm. “Where do you want to go?”
Ranma, still trying to process this, simply said. “Wherever you want?”
