Lum floated over the couch in her flying saucer’s casual room and dropped into a siting posture, arms folded to match the big scowl on her face. She closed her eyes and sighed in exasperation as she considered her day.
The day had started so nicely, with warm fuzzy dreams from the incredible night before, followed a morning made so much better by the way she could so clearly see Darling watching her all the time. Then as morning became afternoon she had the always nice chance to help a fellow student, which was even nicer because the student was Ryunosuke. This led to an opportunity to help out even more, plus the chance to experience what promised to be a very nice thank you quickie. . .
Then Ryunosuke’s jerk father had butted in and her day had begun it’s downward trajectory. ’Note to self, when that jerk gets back, zap him a few times for this.’
She’d hoped to turn around that frustration afterschool. Her plan had been to use the promise of lobbying Ryu for a threesome to put him in a good enough mood to be up for some delightful cuddling, with maybe a chance of things going a bit further.
Unfortunately for her plans, Ataru had started that conversation in a bad mood for some reason. When he’d started asking those suspicious questions about hidden motives for pushing for a threesome that didn’t exclude him. . .
Lum stood and angrily flipped back her hair. Ataru could be so wonderful, but he could also be so horrible! Sometimes both at the same time! She’d been completely in the right to storm out like she did!
Shaking her head she walked to her bookcase, and looked down at the shelf with all her catalogs. However today had ended, there’d be the chance to fix everything tomorrow, especially with that camera she’d promised Ryunosuke. There was no chance Ataru would refuse the chance to take pictures of pretty girls.
Some quick flipping through the pages of three catalogs found the deals she’d spotted while glancing through the catalogs earlier that month. A great deal on a nice camera, a deal on set of lenses, a deal on bulk film. She took a moment to look through the catalog descriptions, then shrugged ’I’m sure that technical jargon’s not important’ she decided as she read the order details to her ships shopping computer and told it to buy them.
Ran walked into her spaceship and slammed the door shut behind her. For a moment she stood, shaking furiously, then she straightened up, and plastered a hyper cutesy smile on her face and skipped forward into her ship. “Oh, my, today was so much of a trial for poor lil Ran-chan!”
“Oh, the tragedy of being beguiled by that handsome manly seeming seductress, who tricked poor lil Ran-chan into cheating on Rei-San and rocking Ran-chan’s word so hard and so good!” She shook her head slightly and proclaimed to the empty interior of her ship, “Woe is me!” before dramatically collapsing onto her sofa. “Ohh, poor lil Ran-chan!” she moaned to herself as she lay there, trying and failing to imagine Rei comforting her.
A minute later she sighed and pulled herself back to a regular seating position. “What a day,” she said softly, her eyes closing as her mind drifted back in time. When Lunch came, she’d decided that she needed to talk to Ryunosuke again and. . . Well, of course she needed to tell the girl that she was in a relationship with someone else so she couldn’t extend any sort of relationship with her, even though Rei wasn’t actually committed to her, and it wasn’t cheating because they were both girls and. . .
Whatever the justification in her mind, it had been somewhat displaced when she’d visited the classroom and learned that Ryunosuke had gone to the Nurses Office. . . WITH LUM! Ok, there had been a reason for that trip, it wasn’t anything sinister, it wasn’t Lum once again trying to steal someone Ran wanted. . . No, Ran didn’t want Ryu, besides, it was just a trip to the nurses office.
But visiting the nurses office (In case Lum misunderstood something about earth, she could be so clueless on some things) she’d found herself redirected to Ryu’s home in the school store. And as she’s come close, what did she see but Lum floating out of the store zipping up her skirt.
As Lum had floated down the hallways, Ran had strode into the store, her mind angrily reviewing all the reasons Lum might have been taking off her clothes with Ryunosuke. She’d had a thousand questions, a million accusations. . . And she’d forgotten all of them when Ryu had responded to her arrival by pulling her into an incredible kiss.
Then. . . That hologram of Ryunosuke’s jerk of a father had activated, and Ryu had pulled away from her to get into a shouting match, Ran had adder her angry voice when he’d talked about her looking ‘easy’. . . In her spaceship Ran picked up a pillow and hurled it at the wall in anger.
“Note to self, when Ryunosuke’s father gets back, shoot him with a hyperbazooka,”
