Jess tipped her hat up to look over the crowd and see the DJ, Lucio. Mr. Correia dos Santos had been the one who invited Jess to this party, to talk business. It turned out that sweet innocent Lucio was neck-deep in the kind of nasty politics where a superhero-turned-mercenary like Jess could feel at home. It didn't hurt that Lucio was a buck that a cowgirl could ride all night long. Jess licked her lips.
Someone sharply tugged on Jess's ponytail. The leggy blond nearly toppled backwards. Jess spun around to find a tiny Korean woman -- a tiny Korean girl, practically -- who barely came up to Jess's tits. The girl blew out a gum bubble and chewed it back up with a shit-eating grin. She wore a pastel pink down coat and her hair was done up in two fluffy pigtails. The girl had a heart drawn on her forehead in glittery make-up, like a third eye.
"What's the big idea?!"
"You're hear to meet Lucio, right? C'mon. We've got a private room in the back."
"Are you his girlfriend?" Jess glanced around to see if anyone else was taking an interest in their conversation. "The one who plays video games?"
The girl blew another bubble, turned around, and gestured for Jess to follow. She lead Jess to a metal staircase that lead to the former offices of the converted warehouse. As they ascended, Jess realized that the girl had nothing on below the waist except fishnets, pink garters, and a pair of white knee-high boots that cost more than a house. The oversized coat barely kept her decent. The girl opened the door on a room with a plush couch, a stocked bar, and very shaggy carpeting.
"Lieutenant colonel Hana Song, ROKAF." Hana unzipped the down coat and shrugged it off. She had a pink satin bra with black filigree. She did not have any panties. "Not Lucio's girlfriend."
"Oh. Uh. Er. Jessica McCree." Jess tipped her hat. "Um. Not his girlfriend, either."
Hana giggled. Very girlish, Jess observed, but not a girl. Hana was definitely a woman, lithe and petite yet mature. Jess swallowed. Her pulse quickened. Her skin was hot. The pills were kicking in. Hana pulled a bottle out from behind the bar and smiled. Jess tightened downstairs.
"Thirsty?"
"Parched, thank you." Jess slid off her leather jacket and dropped it on the floor next to Hana's coat. She sidled up to nearly-naked Hana leaning on the bar. Hana handed Jess a shot glass and Jess made a point to linger when their fingers touched. Hana's stepped closer. Jess heart thudded in anticipation. Hana smelled like strawberries.
"So what is your tie to Lucio, then? What is a Korean airforce pilot even doing here?"
“I was an idol streamer before the Omnium re-activated. A pretty big one. I suppose I still am. Lucio and I have always been fans of each other, for a long time. I like to drop in on his parties from time to time because they're always… fun.”
“I hope so.” Jess trailed her thumbed down Hana's stomach, flicking the bands of her garters, and slid it into the crevice between Hana's leg and groin. Hana batted Jess away and pranced over to the couch. Jess stared in wonder as the tiny woman reached behind the couch and produced a harness and a two-pound strap-on.
“Think you can ride'em, cowgirl?”
Jess had herself to a second shot.
