"Would you like to explain yourself?" Robin demanded.
"Excuse me?" Rick asked, looking surprised. "I think you're the one who should explain yourself. Are you on something?"
"Just cut the crap, Rick. I know it was you. Or maybe that dumbass friend of yours - Jim. You did something to the world. You made yourself and your friends rich and popular and made me white trash."
"I hate to break it to you, Robin, but you've always been that way," Rick said. "You've had several chances to get out of that life, but just like the rest of your kind, you refuse to better yourself."
Robin was going to throw some more insults at Rick, but something about how he was acting told her that he wasn't involved in whatever was happening to her, and them. He really was bewildered by her accusations.
Defeated, and still no closer to figuring out what was happening to her, Robin headed home, her new home, at the trailer park. She skipped dinner (what little there was) and went straight to bed, not wanting to be anywhere near her white trash mom. She fell asleep right away, her dreams less nightmarish than her new life.
------
The next morning, Robin woke up, and was immediately surprised to see that, once again, her life had completely changed. How was it different this time?
