Sabrina Spellman knew she was under a hex: That many incidences happening one after the other could not be coincidences! Her falling from her broom onto a produce stand had been the last straw! She put her broom in its interdimensional closet, and started walking. It would be a long walk; she was a whole town away from her own, Greendale. She knew many people in Riverdale, but she needed ones who were home and would allow her to clean up. Being slimed by tomatoes and melons was not fun!!

Risking the use of her magic, she conjured up her Magic 8 Ball. Surprisingly, the message shown on its little black window was easy to interpret: [Yes, No, Maybe, and Sing]

Sabrina was just in time to rescue a deliveryman as he busted through a stairway door, riding a runaway hand truck. She was pleased at how well it went: There was no backfire! (Not counting the fact that he couldn't get off the hand truck until after he had gone up his truck's ramp and into it.)

"Maybe good spells weaken the bad spell?" she wanted to believe. She had tried being like her aunt and the other witches and used bad spells on mortals, but they always seemed to turn out bad: For her!! Frustrated, and by accident, she had started using spells that helped them. And her success rate jumped remarkably! She figured, then, that she just wasn't cut out to be the stereotypical witch. And every time Della or some other witch had tried to punish her for doing good deeds, it almost always seemed to backfire onto them!

"The hex only seems to able to reach me when I'm using magic not for others, but for myself!" Sabrina said to herself as she rode the elevator up. "I'll find reasons to help others, and that may just be enough to weaken it until it breaks!"

"Coming♬" Melody said, opening the apartment's front door. Only the other side was a platinum blonde like herself, only it was in a bob, and with a black headband and a sprig of asparagus here and a cantaloupe rind there. She also had tomato seeds mixed with her freckles.

"Hi, Melody! I'm Sabrina Spellman; you remember me!"

"I do♬?? Were you in one of the Pussycat audiences♬?" the girl in just a bikini bottom and short tee (and no bra) smiled as if she were talking with a fan.

"Yes," Sabrina smiled, remembering how ditzy the girl could be. "I've been in several of your audiences. But I've actually played with the Archies."

"Oh, the Archies♬ I'm a big fan of them♬ Come in tell me all you can about them♬ Can I have your autograph♬?"

Sabrina had played with the Archies. But only for the ten days that Veronica Lodge had been sick. And she could only have played the keyboard with her magic.

Like Goldilocks, Josie McCoy's bra had been too small, Melody Valentine's had been too large, but Valerie Brown's was just right.

Melody had told her that it was alright for her to borrow the last of the clean lingerie. "I'm doing the laundry right now! I have three bras and one panties of Valerie's in the washing machine right now!"

"Uh, I don't know how washing machines work, but is it alright to stuff that many things into it?" Sabrina asked. She felt less modest seeing the other girl being less dressed than she was in the panties and bra.

"I had♬ to be fair♬ All of us have dirty clothes: Me♬ Josie♬ Valerie♬ and Sabrina♬"

Suddenly the machine began vibrating and hitting the floor harder and harder! "Do you think that will disturb the downstairs neighbors♬?"

"Let's not find out!" Sabrina said. "Let us on caution ere; rise now into the air!"

"That's a real high♬ tech machine♬" Melody giggled as she watched the washer hover knee-high above the floor.

Sabrina saw she didn't need to use her "training wheels". As a witch still still learning her magic, the Witches' Council let her borrow their combined magic for one particular kind of spell: The ability to make mortals forget that they had witnessed her magic.

Melody put her hand on the washer. "I am a drummer, and this has a pretty good beat♬" she giggled.
