Aniko had looked around a bit. She found things seemed out of place like electic lights (or it looked like it anyway, it may be magic) and in the libary what appeared to be a computer. She decided not to touch anything and went back to her room to rest for a bit, it has been a long strange day and it really hasn't sunk in completly. Aniko was out like a light when her head hit the pillow, she had a strange dream. She was dressed in a elegant white dress, she was adorned with fabulous jewlry, basicly dressed to kill. Aileron was there dressed like a midievil lord and they were dancing in some kind of great ball. Aniko awoke suddenly. "Dinner will be served in a moment m'Lady," a pretty young lady in a plain dress said as she did a curtsy.
Aniko entered the dinning hall, as she did she did note that both Aileron and Lord William, whom were both seated, stood up. Aileron pulled her chair out and after she sat down they both sat down.
The feast was amazing, there were all kinds of foods, she noticed that there were three male servents tath attended the meal filling drinks and serving the food, 'this I could get use to'. There was some small talk, but it was mostly about changes in the last 50 years as Aileron was catching up on anything that he had missed. Both of the men were polite and made no refrence to Aniko's resent changes. When dinner was over they again returned to the drawing room.
"Come here my my child," Lord William said to Aniko, "let me get a good look at you."
Aniko approached Lord William, he looked like a kindly old grandfather. "Please hold out your palm." Aniko did so and Lord William took it gently and looked at it for a moment and then looked into her eyes. Sniko felt a shiver run down her spine, Aeleron's voice was in her head 'do not fear,what you feel is Lord William's magic, as I told you your body is attuned to magic', she was a bit frightened but she did not pull away.
"Yes, yes, I believe she will be a fine apprentice," Lord William said after a moment. "Now you mind your studies, and one day you will be a great Sorceress, for Aileron was my best apprentice and has much to teach you."
Aniko sleeps through the night, and like before she has the same dream. She doesn't know what to make of it so she puts it out of her mind when she awakes.
She just assumed they would travel to Ailerons tower by magic means and was a little supprised when they walk out the of the castle to find two horses saddled and waiting. She was also a little supprised when she saw what appeared to be a living Gargole. He was stone gray and kind of short at only about four feet tall and had two very large wings.
"Aniko this is Miksa, he will be traveling with us as a protector" Aileron said as he motioned to the Gargole.
"Miksa is your most hummble servent m'Lady," the Gargole said in a gravely voice as he bowed his head.
'Stranger and stranger', Aniko thoght, "I am most pleased to meet you Miksa."
"It will take us two days to reach my tower, we will stop in the city of Bellizar for the night and then travel on to my tower from there. And before you ask, Magic is not something you use lightly outside of protected areas, as it will sometimes attract unpleasent and often powerfull things such as demons and elementals."
Miksa flew up ahead of them and was usualy out of sight.Rakor was a very dry area, a desert really. As they crossed over a large hill, in the distance they could see a large city built on the banks of a wide river. Aileron turned to Aniko and held aut a piece of silk, "I know this might bother you a bit, but by the Sultan's laws no unmarried women my have her face uncovered within the cities of Rakor."
She wasn't overly happy about it but she put on the simple silk vail. 'At least,' she thought, 'I don't have to wear a silk dress and things.'
