Kazuma decided the first thing he needed was to be able to regen his meters faster. He pulled up all of the skills related to HP, MP, and Stamina. Each had their own basic skill of [(x)up Small] for 1 SP. He fused all three skills together and lowered both the ratio buttons to zero making sure it's a passive skill to make [Vitality up Small], for a further 10% bonus to the stats totaling 15%. A good start but not what he was hoping for.
An Idea occurred to him, "[Drain Touch] recovers all three of my vitality stats, so..."
He pulled up [Drain Touch] and saw that it had [Vitality Damage]+[Vitality Recovery] in the effects section of the skill. He separated both skills to learn them separately. He then used separated [Vitality Recovery] into it's 3 base skills of HP, MP, and Stamina [Recovery]. All of which are self targeted spells with an MP cost, or stamina cost in the case of [MP Recovery]. Turning them into passive skills they all become [(x) Regen small], giving him a total of 2% of his meters back per second.
He grinned, his next step being adding each of the separate [(x)Regen small]s together, yielding him...nothing.
"Damn looks like to upgrade the skill I'd need a [medium] or higher effect Skill, still, not bad. Now let's do stats."
Taking the same approach he disassembled all of the buff skills and reassembled the pieces into permanent buffs all separate skills giving +5% buffs to his stats, then two separate skills for Mind and Body combined stats for 5% each and the combined one giving a +5% as well totaling a 15% up on his base stats finally pushing his mediocre stats to average category while further padding his int and luck. [Ability up small(x)] was amazing.
He went ahead and made passives of all the skills he had finding each and every basic skill became a 5% increase passive skill was awesome. when he learned even ONE intermediate level ability he'd be able to buff out EVERYTHING again! WAIT! [Concealment] IS AN INTERMEDIATE SKILL!
Kazuma cackled in the corner of the guild bar and no one paid any attention to him, it was just Kazuma after all.
Kazuma preened as he reviewed his newly emboldened stat page.
Everything had received a 50% permanent increase a 100% increase in the case of his Vitality stats, he'd even upgraded his regen stats as well to 7% per second total.
Indeed after spending several hours emitting a dark aura and the occasional chuckle Kazuma emerged a different man. Better in every respect by leaps and bounds. "Now let's see if there's a quest I can solo right now..."
He approaches the desk with a paper off the board, "I'll take this quest Miss Luna."
"Oka-" She stops, "Hey, where's the rest of your party?"
"Just me today, wanted to try and level up without them so I'm picking frog slaying." Kazuma shrugged.
The receptionist looks at him skeptically "Are you sure you can take on Frogs my yourself Kazuma? (Yes I'm Kazuma.) Your party doesn't have a great history with them." She said, only slightly concerned.
"Hey, I get your concern, but I just discovered why adventurers really are the best class ever. Here, take a look at my card but be quiet about your shock this time." Kazuma said in a low voice while handing his card over to the still skeptical woman.
She glanced down at the card and her eyes bugged out and she drops his card on the counter which he quickly picks up. "Wh-What the hell is with those stats!?" she whispered loudly at him as she sat down hunched over the table pulling him down to sit with her.
"[Adventurer]'s only class feature lets you combine and edit the skills you know to learn new ones at no cost once you unlock it. I've learned more than a hundred skills while I was sitting in the corner over there! A lot of them were passive stat bonuses so my base stats might suck but with the bonuses I've got stacked now I might as well have the same kind of stats as Aqua without her terrible drawbacks!"
Luna looked at the adventurer's card he'd picked up and read the passage on the skill he'd pulled up to show her. She blinked as she read it. And blinked again, then sighed. "Alright, you'll probably be fine to hunt the frogs then." She waved him away and turned her back to him.
Kazuma shrugged and walked out the door while the receptionist massaged her forehead at the information he gave her to deal with.
