"How do you feel?" Maggie asked Miguel, who was slowly thawing by the edge of the pool. Like the other girls and the recovering basketball players, Maggie looked like she had aged fifty years and been through the wringer. Only Carl had been unaffected by the dean's draining power, but he was shivering in shock from Nealy being swallowed whole. He had a death grip on the Solo cup in his paws.
"You know brain freeze?" Miguel responded. "This is a million times worse."
Becca thought that Miguel might thaw faster if he were put in the pool. It took all seven of them in their weakened state to lower Miguel safely into the shallow end. His sigh of relief made them happy while they recovered their strength on the pool deck.
"We've got to get our strength back," Maggie gasped.
"There's always more soda," Becca suggested.
"I checked. We're out of purple," Tanya said, some disappointment in her voice. From the expressions of the basketball players, they were clearly disappointed, too. "A few pink, some light blue, one white, and a lot of green."
"And they all turn you into a chick with big boobs?" Drake asked.
"With some variations, yes," Becca replied.
"Count me out," one of Drake's teammates said. "I've been through too much today already." The glance the four young men shared reminded Tanya that they had only just begun to process the loss of their teammate.
"At least you'll be healthy again," Tanya said. "There's no way you can play in your current state."
"Looks like the second string scrubs are going to get their chance to start," Drake said. "Because even if we drink the sodas, we can't play on the men's team anymore. I'm in for a greenie. I can't spend another hour like this."
But try as they might, they could not convince the other three basketball players to partake. They were going to try to recover their bodies through diet and exercise, no matter how long it might take. The girls wished them well, though they promised to save three green sodas should they change their minds.
In the end, they all agreed to drink a green soda, except for Becca, who missed her big milky tits. She laid claim on the last of the white ones.
With relief and satisfaction they watched their bodies recover and fill out. Years seemed to melt away, and their breasts inflated like balloons. Drake looked anxious as he downed his, but regret melted away as the pleasant sensation of transformation washed over him, and he could truly enjoy being a woman for the first time.
"What do we do about her?" Carl asked, holding up the cup.
"You could shake that cup really hard to see if she's awake," Tanya suggested.
"I could have her charged with any number of crimes," Carl said, looking only slightly tempted by Tanya's suggestion. "But that would require explaining things, and I'm not sure I'm up to explaining right now."
"Do we still have that fish tank in the attic?" Maggie asked. "We could make a terrarium for her and put a little doll house in there and..."
"You can't do this to me!" the Dean shrieked in a high pitched voice that made Carl wince. "Just give me a soda and I'll leave you alone. I'll take early retirement and move to Arizona..."
"No dice, bitch," Tanya said. "You're a murderer, and the terrarium is better than you deserve. 'Cause the only alternative for you is prison, and I don't think a tiny little thing like you will last long in confinement."
That frightened the dean into silence. They emptied out the ice chest and stored her in there until the terrarium could be set up.
Only then did the five girls--Becca, Maggie, Tanya, Miguel, and Drake--breathe a sigh of relief.
