Daphne Blake didn't fully understand what had happened to her. She and the rest of Mystery Inc. had come to England after receiving an anonymous tip about strange occurrences at an old, supposedly abandoned asylum. Arriving in the town near the asylum, the gang had found evidence that there was activity at the asylum after all, so they had gone to investigate the building, splitting up as usual to cover more ground.

It was at this point that someone or something must have knocked Daphne out, because the next thing she knew she was in an old-fashioned looking office, sitting across from a large desk. And more importantly, she was sitting in a wheelchair, wearing a medical gown and with her arms and legs secured with straps. Understandably scared and confused by the situation, Daphne had been trying ever since to free herself, but the straps wouldn't break.

Suddenly, Daphne heard a door opening. Turning around as much as she could while restrained, she was greeted by the sight of an older, balding man wearing a white doctor's coat entering the room.

"Ah, glad to see you awake, Miss Blake," the man greeted as he approached the desk and sat down behind it.

"Who are you? Why am I tied up like this? And where are my clothes?!" Daphne demanded, blushing in outrage as she asked that last question.

"Come now, Miss Blake, try not to be unreasonable," the Director replied with a condescending tone, "You wouldn't be in the Asylum without a reason. And you do have a very serious problem, after all."

"Oh yeah? And what's that?" Daphne demanded, glaring at the Director, who only smirked back at her.

"Well, obviously I'm talking about..."

  1. "Your delusion of being part of a group of globetrotting detectives, solving bizarre crimes, with a talking dog. There's healthier coping mechanisms for being a bored rich heiress."
  2. "Your split personality. Unless we're supposed to believe there's another explanation for being both a detective AND a master thief?"
  3. "Your repressed nymphomania. You don't have to keep suppressing your desire for every cock in sight, that's perfectly natural."
  4. "Your refusal to accept your love of bondage. You clearly enjoy being restrained, you don't need to keep letting yourself be caught by costumed criminals for it to happen."
  5. "The fact you think you're human. As your friend Scooby Doo shows, there's nothing wrong with being a talking dog."
  6. Something else
