"Great Scott!" Sharon exclaimed as she was abruptly transformed into a wild-eyed, middle-aged woman with chaotic white hair and wearing a lab coat. Jim suddenly remembered hearing a story about a universe where everyone was a transgender version of a movie character. The person his girlfriend had turned into certainly looked like a female version of Emmet "Doc" Brown from Back to the Future!

As if to verify his assumption, Emmeline - as we have to call her now - dug into her pocket and pulled out a crumpled sheet of paper with some kind of drawing on it.
