Susan stepped out of her limo and waved the driver off.
Having just left the celebrity luncheon, she was pretty tired. The
pink dress she had chosen to wear wasn't at all comfortable. After
all the years she had been doing this work, she had long since grown tired
of the rat race. Stepping into her building, she was surprised to
see Sarah sitting on the stairs. They hadn't seen each other in years, thankfully Susan
thought.
"Hi Sarah, I'm surprised to see you here," she said, smiling at the younger actress. The animosity between the two women hadn't subsided even though years had passed. The doorman looked at the two actresses. "You really thought you could destroy my career, didn't you? It must really annoy you that I've already passed your celebrity," Sarah said, smiling evilly up at the older woman. "Oh Sarah, it was nothing like that," Susan said, hoping to alleviate the impending scene. Sarah raised her hand in what has become the universal gesture of "talk to the hand."

| Taken back by such
rude behavior, Susan finally lost it. "Why don't you just get
the fuck out of here Sarah and leave it be!" she
exclaimed.
"Tell me Susan, why were you such a bitch when I was on the show?" Sarah said, clearly ignoring the older woman's comments. Susan's face flushed with anger, turned to look at the doorman. "Ms. Lucci, may I be of some assistance?" The doorman said, walking over to the two actresses. Susan was relieved that the man finally showed up. Maybe he could help her. "Bob, can you..." was all she could say before Sarah interrupted. "You don't need his help Susan," Sarah said, nonchalantly. "No, everything is okay, just go back and leave us be," Susan said, without really thinking about what just happened. "Now, tell me why you were so mean to me back then," Sarah demanded. "Why should I get into that Sarah? You know we just didn't like each other. You were young, beautiful, I wanted to get rid of you, that's all," Susan continued to explain her fear of the younger actress. "Let's go up to your place," Sarah said, walking up the stairs. "Okay, let's go," Susan said, after a moment of thought.
