On the 12th level of the Backstage Concourse's Upper Levels, Minka (who was really Jim in a skinsuit), nervously knocked on the door of the 2259th suite.
The door opened to an irate-looking Meiou. "Yeah, what do you want?" Meiou shouted. "Look, I'm just back from a really stupid scenario involving DJ2 and Winnie the Pooh, and I'm tired, so whatever you're selling -- well hello..." (It had taken Meiou a few moments to notice Minka's two most prominant attributes -- itself a mark of how tired the weary Author was.) "What do you want?" Meiou went on, in a much more friendly voice.
Minka shrugged. "You should know, you optioned me. What I'd like to to get back into my storyline, or at least a storyline. (Yeah, like that ever works.) But I'm up for anything weird, as you might infer from my present identity . . ."
"You mean you're not really Minka?" asked Meiou, somewhat disappointed.
"Hey, sailor," Minka purred, "I can be whatever you want me to be." (Which was uncharacteristic of Jim, or maybe it wasn't, considering is persent identity -- maybe he really is up for anything weird.)
Meiou brightened. "Well then, how about we start a nice little storyline right here, just for the two of us?" And the Author motioned Minka into the suite . . .
