Sharon McCormack and Jim Harrison found themselves spiralling down an ever-quickening and madly swirling whirlpool of red and white stripes. "Hey! look at me!" Sharon shouted. "I'm in Vertigo!" And then they came to a sudden stop. "BLEAGH!" Sharon noised as she threw up her lunch.
"Well that was attractive," Jim quipped at the sight of Sharon retching. And then he too bent over and vomited his stomach out. Sharon wiped her mouth and retorted, "Babe, you're looking anything but attractive right now."
Once they had settled down, they took a look around them. According to Chance Vector they were now in an alternate universe. But what exactly did that mean? Would they meet different versions of themselves here? The idea was intriguing. How different would they be? How alike? What if time was different here too? Could it be possible they might meet past versions of themselves, or future versions?
Sharon was 26 years old; today was her birthday in fact. She worked at the law offices of Ambercrombie and Poe. Jim was 26 too. He worked as the asst.manager at the local Food King supermarket.
But what were their doubles going to be like? Hell, maybe the Sharon and Jim who lived here were so different they didn't even share the same last names as their doubles!
