It took but a single incident, but a cascade effect resulted. A simple thing like the activation of the Ring that Ranma now wore had released the power that Ecchi had put in them. Far and wide the rings were, but somehow they and those that would wear them would be drawn in. But at the moment they were waiting to be found.

There was at least one in the Osa-P jewelry shop in Juuban.

One rested in a shrine, protected in a box.

Another waited in a cave, like a small treasure.

In Amazon possession rested one.

As a family heirloom was another.

And there were others, far and near.

But right at that moment, a girl had just found one and was thinking about taking it. And she was:

1. just going through her Great-Grandma's collection.
2. *pausing in her search to examine the family heirloom.
3. surprised to find something like it in a cave.
4. wondering why a simple ring was in a shrine.
5. *thinking of buying the ring that she saw in the case at the Osa-P.
6. wonder where the ring she had just found was about.
