Sharon and Heather found a place to rest under a tree for the night. Tired from their ordeal, they both fell asleep rather quickly, waking up in the morning. To her relief, Heather found that her transformations had gone away. They were lycanthropic! On the other hand, Sharon's fangs and long, ruffled mane were still present. Apparently, the curse place on Sharon by the boots not only prevented the lycanthropy from completely taking effect, but it also left the minor changes made in tact permanently.
Not that Sharon seemed to mind, of course. She was still the same cavewoman-like blonde Heather had known when they properly met, just with more hair and sharper teeth. "Heather wake now?" Sharon asked.
"I'm awake, Sharon," Heather replied, happy to be back in her own form during the daytime. "Come on, let's go."
