Another unnamed ancestor watched Mulan trying to make it in the Army, and wanted to do what he could to help her. Considering how unreliable Mushu was, he decided to use some Magic to help Mulan out.

He didn't know the other ancestor was performing her own magic at the same time... He completed his spell just as the other ancestor completed her own.
