Watching the movie, Jim was intrigued to see that it had originally been entitled "The Eyes of the Cat" but someone must have changed it in mid-release to try to make it sound a bit more threatening. He was pleased to see that whoever made it must have been out to rip off the original "Cat People" and was in fact doing a great job, at least in terms of recreating the atmosphere. The lead actress was not quite a Simone Simon, but she was lushly sexual in her own way and Jim appreciated her.
The plot started out simple. A man got involved with a woman, she fell for him hard and even turned out to be a bit cuckoo, she gave him the gift of a beautiful black cat, but then as her jealous rages became more and more out of control she finally got herself killed. What the man did not appreciate was that the cat she had left him would now proceed to transform from time to time into a reincarnation of the woman.
Jim was genuinely intrigued by the movie, finding it to be far, far better than he had expected, and so he was caught a bit off guard when Sharon, still very much in her Elvira mode, reappeared wearing a slinky cat costume. He was glad to see a return more to the Michelle Pfeiffer costume predating the Halle Berry version, though this costume seemed more satiny than leather.
"Mrrraowww!" Sharon purred warmly, snuggling up against Jim.
