Jim was lying there in a drunken stupor, when Death materialised vindictively close to him. An hour with Jim and his friends was really starting to undo all that therapy!
He needn't have bothered. Jim just assumed his sudden apparition was a result of the sporadic functioning of his bleary eyeballs. His head continued to loll in an unimpressed (and unimpressive) fashion.
"I checked with your friends, as you requested...er, sport." boomed the Reaper, juddering into a loose approximation of his new personality unconvincingly. His drunkenness seemed to have worn off (Or maybe he was never drunk? How does a walking skeleton metabolise alcohol? Does Death have a Liver?).
"Your companion Sharon says that you need 'To Act Like a Gentleman'. Your friend Rick states that you would like to be a 'Stripper'..."
Jim wasn't sure if he liked where this was going. He wasn't sure, because he was pissed as a newt, and didn't really have a clue what was going on.
"Therefore, I have DECIDED!" boomed Death decisively. "Jim, This..Is Your Life!"
Lights flashed before Jim's eyes, there was a strong spinning sensation, and a buzzing noise like a thousand angry bees. Then Jim felt himself retched into another wretched existence!
