Ranma stretched as it occurred to him that he was warm and in bed and comfortable and had a girl in bed with him...
Wait a moment. Backtrack.
Okay. Mister Tendo and Stupid Panda had come across this odd magical item. They had said this would guarantee the two houses would be united.
Akane had announced that she was NOT marrying Ranma and was going to study for the evening. Nabiki had commented about the waste of money, Kasumi had commented about what a strange looking statue it was.
As the aforementioned girl wrapped her arms around him and snuggled up against him from behind, Ranma again started to try and figure out how exactly this had happened.
The two fathers had convinced themselves that Akane needed Ranma and was just playing hard to get. Then the moon had risen, they had presented the statue to the moon and shouted out...
Actually they'd begun celebrating earlier and drank quite a bit. The two fathers had yelled entirely different and not terribly sensical wishes out.
What had it been? Oh yeah. That Ranma would end up with Akane. The statue had responded that Akane had already dismissed Ranma. The two fathers, undaunted, had ignored all the commotion from the two remaining daughters and one very alarmed Ranma who had all realized that the Eternity Cube was for real.
Followed by the fathers both garbling something about need and duty and love and martial arts.
The statue had replied by stating that Ranma would therefore end up married to the girl who needed him the most, and who was currently beseeching the heavens for a boyfriend who could stand the problems that a relationship with her would cause.
Then there had come this whirlwind out of nowhere, he'd been sucked through and ended up... it all became a blur.
Ranma slowly opened his eyes. Not a familiar ceiling. Definitely not the Tendo place.
"Ohhh. I like this dream. Married to a hunk," came a sleepy female voice and those arms pressed tighter around him.
Ranma tried to recall a name from the blur. Finally he got an image and realized he knew this girl. Except she was a fictional character. She was:
