Unending BE - episode 315048

Dr. Richard Crenshaw was old, befitting a man who was, in a manner of speaking, the father of hundreds of daughters. He was not a proud father -- not that he didn't want to be, but he wasn't allowed to be. He had genetically engineered the Urim-Thummim women, who got raised and trained for duties ranging from sexpionage to spaceflight research, and they were the property of the old yet still ultrasecret Project Solomon.

Crenshaw walked through the master control room of the subterranean headquartrs of Project Solomon and noticed a blinking panel. He tapped a white-suited technican on the shoulder. "Blumenthal! You know anything about that?"

Solomon worker Norman Blumenthal looked at the panel and frowned. "Looks like a security breach, sir. I'll get right on it."

Over the next several minutes, Crenshaw and Blumenthal learned that Dr. Japhet Rush of the Canopus Institute had just requested the extreme rapid growth of a new Urim-Thummim synthetic embryo based heavily on, of all things, the DNA of some Danish woman named Susanne Brecht.

Crenshaw shook his head. True, the Cathedralites were a 400-year-old master conspiracy orchestrating the secet history of Western civilization, but there seemed to be no end to their petty luxurious requests. Crenshaw could remember how the bosomania of the 1950s had infomed so many of the designs of the first Urim-Thummim women, and this simply seemed like more of the same.

"He could have asked nicely, instead of hacking in, that's all I ask," Crenshaw grumbled, then left Blumenthal's station.

  1. We follow Susanne.
