Jim, Robin, and Ariella entered the inn. It had a common room with about ten tables, mostly empty. A pair of swordsmen sat at one, pulling meat off a ham and chomping it noisily, stopping only to slurp something from their large tankards. The three travellers sat at a table across the room from the swordsmen, and a serving girl refilled the swordsmen's tankards, then walked to the table the three travellers sat at.
"What'll ye be having?" the pretty blonde serving girl asked.
Ariella spoke up. "Stew, bread, and cheese. Ale. Do you have rooms?"
The serving girl looked around and shrugged. "Don't see too many here tonight, do ye?"
"Then we'll take one." She flipped a coin on the table, then another, and the serving girl took them.
They ate their meal in silence, but Jim noticed the two swordsmen would glance up at the three of them every so often, then glance at the door. Jim began to get suspicious.
