There was a low hum as a seamlessly invisible door whooshed open and a woman in Ogazmazon starship gear strode forward. It occurred to Ryan that she resembled Lexa Doig from the TV show Andromeda, although with breasts much larger than the originals by several orders of magnitude.
"I am Vatara, the android cortex of this starship's master computer," she announced with cool Seven of Nine archness. Ryan was immediately able to recognize "Vatara" as a simple anagram of "avatar."
But was "Vatara" pure illusion, or an Azurite friend sneaking in a second character? He glanced back and saw all six "Ogazmazons," so either this was actually Tiny Tits or one among the "Ogazmazon crew" was fully illusory right that moment.
"With no reliable organic crew available," said "Vatara," "this ship is now under my emergency overide and will be taken directly back to the home system, where judgment and execution will be meted out."
This sounded like no good to Ryan. If only because the Ogazmazons had proven themselves to be a lot of fun, he was in no hurry to see any of them executed.
"You can't do that." It was an inanely simple objection, but it had a heroic ring.
"My power is absolute, Earthman. There is nothing you can do to stop me."
