Elle McPherson stopped at a red light and looked down at her pronounced paunch. Was it possible that the life she remembered as a supermodel was just a dream? Every piece of evidence seemed to suggest that the only job she'd ever had in her adult life was the one she had now: a truck driver.
When she arrived at the trucking company, Elle got out of her car and looked at herself in the sideview mirror. How could she ever believe that her 230 pound body had ever posed for fashion magazines? She sighed and went to clock in. At the time clock, Elle was in for a shock. She saw another female trucker, also weighing between 200 and 250 pounds, only her face resembled Angie Everhart, another supermodel. Was this like the Wizard of Oz, with real people playing different roles in her dreams?
"Um, Angie?" Elle said.
"Yeah, Elle?" Angie replied. So Angie was her name and she did recognize Elle. How would Elle proceed?
