When Sharon awoke, she saw Jill smiling down at her. There was something about JIll's expression that immediately told Sharon that she had changed overnight. That was confirmed when Jill said: "Good morning, lover. Did you sleep well?"

"Very well, thanks," Sharon replied. Clearly Jill had much of her old intelligence back, possibly all of it, though Sharon could not be sure of that just yet.

"Like you and Rick, I can remember all my changes," Jill said. Sharon's mouth fell open in surprise. Jill went on: "It's just that previously I was so stupid that they just washed over me without my really being aware of them. Yes, I know that I was originally Jim...

1. "And I want to go back to that. Now I have my full intelligence back, I should be able to work out how to do it."
2. *"But I'm happy being Jill. I'm more intelligent as Jill than I was as Jim, and for me intelligence is even more important than gender. I could probably work out how to restore you to your old self, though. Is that what you'd like?"
