Unending BE - episode 342385

As Jim and Mr. Johnson left, Mr. Williams waited a little while, and then left.

He passed by the forbidden rooms, making his way towards room 342382.

It was a dimly lit room, with a single monitor and a chair inside.

There were two buttons on the TV monitor, and Mr. Williams pushed one of them.

As the screen flickered to life, Mr. Williams sat down in the chair.

Jim said, "Thank you Mr. Johnson."

"Of course, Mr. Ellis." Was the response. "I'll leave you to your job."

Mr. Johnson left, and Jim sat down in his cubicle, turned on his computer, and began typing.

The screen flickered into blackness, but the monitor remained on. Mr. Williams pushed the other button.

It went to complete blackness, and Mr. Williams left.

Satisfied that things were going according to plan, Mr. Williams went to room 94627.

He entered, and the room was exactly the same as the other room.

Mr. Williams pressed the button, and sat down in the chair.

A swirly cloud of something that looked like fog filled the room, and then faded into the night. A man lay sleeping in a bed, covers pulled up to his chin. The clock next to him showed "6:59", then quietly flipped to "7:00" and began to beep.

Jim was asleep, and right in the middle of a very exciting dream, when the loud beeping of the alarm woke him up. He blinked his eyes a few times, rolled over and turned off the alarm. He lay there in bed for a moment, remembering what he was supposed to do today. Whatever it was, it had to be better than yesterday, he thought - today is a brand new day!

After laying there quietly for a moment, Jim...

The screen did the same as the other one.

Mr. Williams turned it off, and lit up a cigarette. As he puffed, he reclined in the chair, waiting for the end of the episode.
