Jim said, "No! I refuse to propose to Sharon before we're ready!"
"What?" Sharon yelled. "Oh, so we're not ready!? Do you not love me!?"
"Huh?" Jim asked. "What do you mean?"
"You don't love me enough to commit to a relationship! I can't belileve I'm hearing this from you, Jim!"
"But you just said that you didn't want to marry me!" Jim protested.
"I didn't say that I didn't want to marry you, I said that I didn't want to marry you because he-" Sharon yelled, pointing at Mr. Williams, "-Wants us to!"
"But honey-"
"Don't, 'but honey' me!" Sharon roared. "You know what, you should get fired! You'd be happy, since then you could say, 'Oh, I don't have enough money to get Sharon a ring, so now I can't marry her!'"
"Sharon, I do want to marry you." Jim said. "I just want to do it when the time is right."
Then Jim had a thought.
"Say, why do you want us to marry each other now?" Jim asked Mr. Williams.
Mr. Williams cleared his throat.
"We believe, that if you marry each other and let the wedding be known about by as many people as possible, an individual that we need to contact may suddenly be contactable."
"Who?" Sharon asked.
"The identity is not important, but suffice it to say, the reason we can't contact her now has to do with what was explained earlier to you, Mr. Ellis." Mr. Williams explained. "So, what do you say?"
