Jim and Sharon naturally tried the door first, since it was nearby. Not surprisingly, it was locked. Jim tried entering his security code into the keypad inset in the wall beside the door. "My security rating may not be high enough for my code to open this door," he warned Sharon.

"It is," she said. "Look, it's opening." Sure enough, the door was smoothly sliding into the wall.

1. It proved to be the room where Karen was being held.
2. *It wasn't where Karen was being held, but it did contain something of interest.
3. It was just an uninteresting office.
4. Something else.
