The following day...

The twelve people (Jim included) stormed the building.

It was completely empty, save for one man.

Ernie Piatzo.

"Jim," Ernie asked, "Is that you?"

They trained their guns on him.

"What's going on here?" Ernie asked. "Why am I being held at gunpoint---"

"Silence!" One of the men yelled. "We will have order and control, or you will be retired from existence."

Another man put a gag over Ernie's mouth, so he couldn't speak.

After attatching handcuffs, they led Ernie out to the van, and drove back to ChangeCorp.

It was a successful mission, having gone perfectly.

But during the ride back, one question burned in Jim's mind.

Why had he been needed for that?

  1. *During the ride back, Jim removed the gag and asked some questions.
  2. Something else.
